A fundraiser gig in support of the rebuilding of the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Path. This Indie Rock concert will star 3 Leaf Tea plus supporting acts. 1993 American fantasy-comedy film (classification PG) directed by Harold Ramis, starring Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell, and Chris Elliott. Murray plays Phil Connors, an arrogant Pittsburgh TV weatherman who, during an assignment covering the annual Groundhog Day event Pennsylvania, finds himself caught in a time loop, repeating the same day again and again. Bar and Box Office from  7pm. A big band sound from this group which includes 4 saxophones, clarinet, flute, trumpet, piano, bass guitar and drums! Take it from the Top are great to dance to, but also just to sit and enjoy the music. Playing music from Glen Miller era, rock ‘n’ roll and favourites from the Beatles, Van Morrison and the like. 24 Sep 2018 - 19:30 Threlkeld Mine Pollution and Plans for Remediation

An illustrated talk by Dr Hugh Potter of the Environment Agency and Mr Graham Dell of the Coal Authority about the pollution from Threlkeld's old metal mines and the plan for remediation. Starts 7:30pm with licensed bar and refreshments from 7pm.  Entry is free!

Crafters and artists from Cumbria will be selling a wide range of quality items, expected to include hand woven textiles, knitting, leatherwork, willow-work, woodturning, hand-made jewellery, watercolour and oil paintings, ceramics, glass-works, paper craft, candles and cards. It should be an excellent way to start your Christmas shopping.  FREE ENTRANCE.  Refreshments in the coffee shop will be available throughout the day

Multi award winning singer Emily Smith is a leading figure of the Scottish folk scene. Her annual Christmas tour is now in its sixth year and selling out theatres across the UK.
